KIT von DALWIG, R.A., Co-Founder and Principal
Kit von Dalwig received a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Hawaii School of Architecture
in 1997 with honors. In 2001 Kit received a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from
Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture and Planning.
Beginning her career at the Seattle architectural design firm Olson Sundberg Architects, Kit has experience
with all phases of architectural design from schematic design to construction documentation and management.
In New York City, Kit has previously worked as a project architect and manager for AKT Architects and now
independently as co-founder of MANIFOLD.ArchitectureStudio. Her body of work ranges from institutional
to commercial (ie the New School, La Scuola d'Italia, Les Copains USA, Iramo, Basic Basic) to numerous
residential renovations for private clients throughout New York.
PHILIPP von DALWIG Dipl. Ing., LEED AP, Co-Founder and Principal
Philipp von Dalwig received a degree in Architecture from the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern, Germany
and graduated from Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture and Planning where he received a
Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design degree with the Lowenfish Memorial Prize in 2001.
Philipp is a licensed architect since 2005 and has worked on a range of projects both in Europe and the US,
for Pei Cobb Freed & Partners, Baumschlager & Eberle and Arnell Group. He has years of experience with
large-scale competitions (ie Vienna Airport, Münchner Rück Headquarters) to smaller-scale commercial stores
(ie Jacob & Co, RBK) and residential housing.
Philipp began teaching at Columbia University and is a regular juror at Pratt Institute School of Architecture,
University of Pennsylvania School of Design and Columbia University. He is currently teaching at Parsons the
New School for Design.
