New Tokyo Life Style Roppongi Think Zone Motion Floor Project

The proposal for the Motion Floor Project invites the visitors on a nonlinear path (or non-path) to
explore and find some of the desired urban voids. It is a descending and ascending trail through
four different scales of landscapes, where information on the current urban situation is
provided, critical questions are being raised, discussions take place and dreams can be dreamt.
The project is addressed to those individuals, as well inhabitants as visitors of the metropolis, who
are searching, struggling, and acting - consciously or unconsciously - within the complex
systems of the city. Located within the confines of each system, is an air pocket that allows for a
short breath where dreams, desires and memories can be retrieved and crystallized.
It is just a matter of finding them and amplifying the effects. It is almost a game between the
individual and the city.
